So, you are looking for a speaker, but you don't know what to go for. Something compact, easy to use and easy to set up? Maybe something more? Then I recommend the Amazon Echo Dot 2nd Gen. It is possibly the smartest piece of tech out there, combining intelligence and everyday features. Just say the activation word 'Alexa,' and you are good to go.

I bought mine in Orlando, Florida for $44.99 from Best Buy and it came in a small box, about the size of your hand. Inside the box is a charging female-type USB charging plug, a male USB type 2 cable and the speaker itself. To set it up, plug the male USB cable into the female plug and plug the Micro type 2 USB into the speaker's port. It will light up blue and start the light ring will spin gradients of blue. It will then turn orange. At this point, you will need your phone, and you download the Amazon Alexa app for iOS, Android and Windows, plus other main operating systems. Open it and sign into your Amazon account with eMail and Password. If you don't have one click 'sign up' and follow instructions. It will then either take you straight to the Device Registration page or you will click the 3 lines, and click Register A Device. The next step is to connect your device to WiFi. One flaw with the Echo Dot is there is no Ethernet port, so you need to connect to WiFi wirelessly (good or bad thing?). You are on the Connection page and you have to wait until your WiFi on your mobile changes to some weird name I can't remember. You then get taken to the next page, where you actually connect it to your Home Broadband. You select your network name and your Echo will connect to the network you chose (whether you need the connection password I don't know yet as I used my hotel's free WiFi) a few seconds later, so will your mobile. You will then be shown an intro video, plus a few tricks to ask Alexa. After that, you get sent to the App's home page and you are golden! You have successfully set up your Echo device! You can then install skills like Uber and Pizza Hut, plus you can connect a Spotify account to listen to music, and others such as Audible, TuneIn and iHeartRadio! I hope this guide helped you on your Amazon Echo Dot, and I hope I will help you in the future with other pieces of Tech you need help with. Buh Bye!
